Doing Good

Giving Back

A pink ribbon is an international symbol for breast cancer; the dove represents love & peace.  One important factor or MY PAL, Inc. is to give back to the community and those in need.  Our initial product launch will include a locket designed with a dove and  breast cancer ribbon. A portion of the locket proceeds will go towards the Carol M. Baldwin Breast Cancer Research Fund.  My Mom is a survivor, this seems the perfect choice to help as we begin our Lovee journey. We all have loved ones who have experienced breast cancer, many survive but others fight the battle and do not, it touches us all. The Carol M. Baldwin Breast Cancer Research Fund, Inc., supports both new and established researchers investigating the causes, prevention and treatment of breast cancer. This research will include—but not be limited to—studies of the genetic, molecular, cellular and environmental factors involved in the development and progression of breast cancer; application of the knowledge thus gained to educate medical professionals and increase public awareness for the prevention, detection and treatment of breast cancer; and studies of the outcomes of breast cancer detection and treatment on the patient, their families and society. Future goals include a special locket, with a portion of locket proceeds going to local organization Clear Path for Veterans. Clear Path empowers military members, veterans, and their families through traditional and nontraditional, wellness-enhancing programming delivered in a safe and family-centered environment.  By integrating community-based programs and services, our “vetted” network of supportive resources spans Central and Upstate New York enabling us to provide programs, services and referrals in an individualized and organized fashion.  Lovee is honored to raise the awareness and assist in donating to this worthy cause. Once these are successfully launched then we will continue to have regular campaigns to promote awareness and raise money for other charities and worthwhile causes. Stay tuned….it is indeed better to give than to receive.
